Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you have all had an enjoyable summer. The staff and I have all been very excited to welcome you all back to school today.
It has been such a long time since we were all together in school enjoying our learning, seeing and chatting to friends, and taking part in all the school activities. School is such an important part of all our lives – most importantly for children – and it is wonderful that we can all get back to it.
As you are aware through the communications we have shared, and the wider national and local public information, life in school will not be exactly the same as it was before lockdown. We have put in place robust measures to help protect all children, staff, and parents from Covid-19. These have been shared with you through our school parent mail and on the school website. It is critical that we all work together as a school community to fully adhere to all the safety rules and new ways of doing things to help keep everyone safe.
The school Risk Assessments, resources, videos, information about returning to school is on our website. This may continue to help answer any questions or concerns you have. We will keep this under constant review.
It is vital that we have all up-to-date parent/carer contact information for the school, and very importantly for the NHS Test and Trace if required. To ensure we have this information, forms will be sent out to all families soon.
I would like to thank all the staff who have worked over the summer, ensuring we are ready for opening and supporting families during the summer break. I am very proud of how committed the staff have been throughout this pandemic to help, guide and support all our families. I know this has been very much appreciated by all our school community.
Best Wishes
Donna Lee
