It’s a day to celebrate books, to inspire young people, and hopefully support the cause that is reading. Every day at Nettlesworth we encourage the children to delve into books and build up that love for reading…. but today we focus on it even more. This year’s theme is ‘Share a Story’ so here are your class teacher’s sharing their favourite stories:

Competition entries were absolutely fabulous – I was overwhelmed by the time and effort put in to each and every entry, so On Monday you will all be receiving a prize for taking part! The winners will also receive their Easter Surprise on Monday too.
After narrowing the entries down to 3 per class, we thought we would let pupil voice shine through; linking to our UNCRC Article 12 – Every child has the right to an Opinion.
Class 1 judged Class 4, Class 2 judged Class 3, Class 3 judged Class 2 and Class 4 judged Class 1. Congratulations to you all! Please see the videos of the reasoning why the children chose the book covers they did below:
Class 1 Winner: Karen
Class 2 Winner: Erica
Class 3 Winner: Amelia
Class 4 Winner: Oscar
