The 27 January is Holocaust Memorial Day, the day that the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated in 1945. On this day we remember the six million Jewish people who were killed during the Holocaust, alongside millions of other people, including children, who were killed under Nazi persecution and in genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
