This week, we are delighted to be celebrating National Storytelling Week 2026 in school. Storytelling plays a vital role in developing children’s imagination, language skills and love of reading, and the children have been enthusiastically taking part in a range of creative activities linked to stories.
As part of our Go All In Reading Campaign 2026, all classes have enjoyed Music for My Story workshops. These sessions encouraged children to explore how music can bring stories to life, helping them to express characters, settings and emotions in new and exciting ways. The workshops supported children to deepen their understanding of stories while building confidence, creativity and enjoyment.
We are proud of the children’s engagement and enthusiasm throughout the week and thank you for your continued support in encouraging reading and storytelling at home.
