Adam Bushnell Whole School Engagement

Today we launched into our new Cornerstones Topics through a day of creative writing with the local author; Adam Bushnell. It was great to hear how he started his career as an author and all about his dream from a young age – it definitely inspired many children across the school 🙂

He worked with EYFS to develop imagination when creating a stories. It was exciting and lots of fun to create our own character in the style of  the ‘Big Bad Wolf’ from Little Red Riding Hood or a ‘Troll’ from The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We went out doors to do some printing with natural resources and added colour to the character drawings we had made before the children then hatched a cunning plan for their fairy-tale villains to be caught in the act!
