What a beautiful morning we have all experienced in welcoming our parents and careers to share our Easter Egg competition results. Every child designed and created their entry to be judged by 2 judges from each class; the children were able to explain to the whole assembly why they liked each winning design. Every child in the school received an egg – curtesy of our wonderful parent group.
A Rights Respecting Gold ethos demonstrated by all – well done to everyone.

What a lovely way to demonstrate our Rights Respecting Gold ethos when 3 of our children created a lovely flag of the Ukraine using post-it notes to write individual messages on in their own time.
Well done to Kayden, Connie and Corey for your very thoughtful effort.

UNCRC Article 29 – Every child should be encouraged to develop their talents.
Well done to Gabriel from Class 3 for his amazing DT project, making a panda’s habitat.
Our artist of the month is John Constable and we found out all about him in assembly. In art club we created our own John Constable landscapes.

On Friday we had lots of fun joining in a whole school Skipping School day with Gail.
Class 1 had a super fun session and blew Gail’s socks off! She never expected that they would progress from Level 1 – 4 in 1 session. We were able to jump the rope and move forwards and backwards ๐
In class 2 Gail taught all of us to skip! She was so amazed at our skills that we quickly progressed onto the big rope and every single one of us had a go at jumping in the rope. How amazing!
In Class 3 we had a fantastic time learning how to skip. We learned lots of new skills and had lots of fun.
In class 4 we learnt lots of new skills, like the single and double bounce. We had lots of talented skippers as we have skipping ropes every playtime. Gail was impressed with us and we had lots of fun!
In Class 5, we were able to demonstrate our Rights Respecting Gold ethos in learning a variety of new skipping skills including: single bounce; double bounce; figure of eightโฆ
The children absolutely loved their session with Gail and canโt wait to practice their skills during play and dinner times.

Calling all of our fabulous TT Rockstars from Nettlesworth Primary…
We have been entered into a ‘Top of the Rocks’ league that will take place next week; starting at 9:00am on Monday 4th April and finishing at 3:30pm on Thursday 7th April 2022.
Nothing will change how we do our TT Rockstars, but all our scores from your games and challenges will contribute to an over-all school tally and be computed into the County Durham TT Rockstars Leaugue Table next week.
Where do you think we will finish?
Do you believe you could out-do your scores from previous weeks?
Remember to keep track of the competition on your TT Rockstars page.
Good Luck everyone.

UNCRC Article 29 – Every child has the right to develop their talents.
We are so proud of Evie from Class 4, as she performed her dances in front of hundreds of people!
Evie impressed all five judges and won both of her dances in slow and freestyle. Well done Evie! Evie showed us her trophies in assembly this morning.
