NETTLESWORTH SCHOOL COMMUNITY GROUP (NSCG)

NSCG is a charity registered with the Charity Commission.

          Members are school staff and parents/carers.

 

Our purpose is to assist and fund extra-curriculum activities for the benefit of our school children.

We are looking to recruit helpers for the running of our future events eg. school fayres, special events etc.

We will also be reviewing our current board of trustees and welcoming new trustees/members.

If you are interested in helping the group with school events or interested in becoming a trustee/member, we are holding our next meeting on Wednesday the 27th April at 4.30pm in the school hall. If you would like to attend, please contact Papi via email:

 NSCG supporting Nettlesworth Primary School

Today we took part in Wear A Hat Day, raising money to help fund the fight against brain tumours.

All of the staff and children took part in this hattastic event and we celebrated with an inter-school Big Hatty Bake Off! 🎂

We managed to raise £125 for The Brain Tumour Awareness Charity – thank you to everyone who took part 🧠

This week in school we have been celebrating Neurodiversity.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, and organisations with the opportunity to recognise the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.

Here at Nettlesworth, we have been looking at ADHD, Autism, Tourette, dyspraxia, dyslexia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia and celebrating how unique and amazing every human mind is!

A massive thank you to Reverend Michael who came into school today to deliver an assembly all about growth and feeling good. We looked at beautiful flowers and how as humans we are just like them!

UNCRC Article 24 – Food, Health and Healthcare

What fabulous work the children from Class 5 have produced in their UNCRC lessons looking at the History of Fair Trade and How our school has evolved to ensure Fair Trade is adhered to in Nettlesworth Primary. We particularly enjoyed researching FT and organising a FT tuckshop, looking at the products sold and how they are sourced.
