We were thrilled to welcome author Adam Bushnell to Nettlesworth Primary School for a truly inspiring day of storytelling and creativity!
Adam began the day with a whole school assembly, where he shared his journey as a writer and showed the children how storytelling can become a lifelong passion and even a career! His energy and enthusiasm sparked imaginations across every year group.

Adam Bushnellโs visit truly ignited imaginations and set the tone for a term full of creativity, curiosity, and learning. Weโre so proud of the childrenโs enthusiasm and the incredible work they produced!

On 10th October 2025, children across all year groups at Nettlesworth Primary School came together to raise awareness for World Mental Health Day, looking at the effects of fake news and doom scrolling on mental health.
Throughout the day, pupils engaged in a variety of thoughtful and creative activities designed to promote emotional wellbeing, empathy, and kindness:
The day was a beautiful reminder that mental health matters every day, and that even small acts of kindness and understanding can make a big difference. We are incredibly proud of our pupils for their compassion, creativity, and commitment to making our school a safe and supportive space for all.

Chloe has been making some lovely artwork at home, inspired by our artist of the half term ‘Kandinsky’. It is so lovely to see children completing artwork at home, as well as school. Well done Chloe!
