Music – Bad Core Horns – 14.7.23

July 14, 2023 by admin

UNCRC Article 31 – leisure, play and artistic culture

What an unbelievable treat we have all had today when we welcomed the Cornish band: Bad Core Horns into our school as a celebration for all our hard work in music and performing arts.

We were  certainly inspired to potential Future Careers by the band who played a mixture of known and improvised songs, as well as playing a song that we helped write!

Rights Respecting Gold ethos demonstrated by all our children, as well as a visit to our school by our local MP Kevan Jones who enjoyed the performance as well.

UNCRC Article 31 – leisure, play and artistic culture

Cinderella, Rockefeller

Wow! Wow! Wow! What can we say?

The children from Class 5 have worked incredibly hard and learned all their lines and lyrics to their Leaver’s play – Cinderella, Rockefeller. We were treated to some fabulous acting, dancing and singing – including some beautiful solos and duets. We just simply can’t believe how far you have all progressed into the wonderful, mature, Rights Respecting Gold children that you are.

Well done to everyone. We are all very proud of your desire and commitment to ensure your Leaver’s Performance was a success.

TT Rockstar Day!

July 13, 2023 by admin

UNCRC Article 31 – Take part in a range of activities.

Today we took part in TT Rockstar Day, to celebrate all of the hard work the children have put in, in numeracy across the year. The children have had a fun filled day, taking part in a range of activities. We have had our very own disco, completed fun tasks on TT Rockstars and practised some conceptual problems in class. Some children also had the opportunity to go on the Boom Bus, for their effort on TT Rockstars throughout the year.  All of the children and staff looked fantastic and made a brilliant effort as always!

UNCRC Article 31 – leisure, play and artistic culture

Hello everyone from the Robinwood Residential Centre…

We’ve had another fabulous session with 2 activities for both groups this morning.

We’ve tackled the night line and Quest, as well as surviving canoeing and raft building.

Praim…

I,ve enjoyed the teamwork in the knight’s quest, trying to work together to solve problems to succeed.

Charley D…

I’ve enjoyed the knight’s quest…it was quite fun and we had to work together as a team.

Millie…

I’ve really enjoyed the raft building, especially attaching the floats to the raft and using it to race against the boys…they won though!!!

Amelia…

I’ve really enjoyed raft building even though I managed to sink with my teammates because I pushed too hard and flipped the raft!!!

We’re about to have lunch and can’t wait for this afternoon 👍
