What a fabulous time we all had during our Halloween Disco. All of your costumes were fantastic – your adults have made a fabulous effort; well done everybody. We all had tremendous fun dancing, playing party games, eating party food and even dressing the teachers up as mummies!
A super Rights Respecting Gold effort from everyone at Nettlesworth Primary.

What a lovely way to finish our Cornerstones Curriculum Fallen Fields topic this term – a Street Party to celebrate the end of World War 1.
The children made bunting to string across the classroom, wreaths and poppies to remember those who made the biggest sacrifice whilst serving their country, ate party food from WW1 (1918) whilst listening to wartime music.
Well done to all children in Class 5 – you really are fabulous and demonstrated your Rights Respecting Gold ethos across the entire term.

Our school is closed for an Inset day on Friday 26th November.
To help parents, staff from Sacriston Youth Project have volunteered to host a free holiday club 8:30-15:15 at Nettlesworth Community Centre.
They don’t have use of the full centre due to baby groups running in the big hall. Therefore, they will need to limit the numbers to 25 places.
Parents can book a place via the youth project’s website here Bookings Checkout | SYP (sacristonyouthproject.co.uk)
Children who are registered to attend the Friday youth club and also booked to attend the holiday club can remain with them from 15:15 until their normal session starts at 16:00.

Predator topic end of term showcase!
UNCRC Article 29 – Education should develop each child’s personality and talents to the full.
Class 4 have really enjoyed their predator topic and I am impressed with everyone’s knowledge and new skills, using online research in ICT the children created power points and then presented them to the rest of the class.
In DT, Class 4 created amazing 3D predator sculptures working together as a team!
Homework superstars!
UNCRC Article 28 – Every child is entitled to an education.
Well done to all of those who have completed their homework each week this half term. The children loved their little treat to say thank you.

Today marked the end of our first Cornerstones topic – Dinosaur Planet. We had lots of fun recapping what we have learnt this half term. We then read our favourite dinosaur story, danced to dinosaur music, played games and ate dinosaur poo! We have really enjoyed our first topic and are looking forward to the next one.
