March 1, 2022 by admin

Governments must help in trying to reunite child refugees with their parents.

Karen has  been watching a lot of news and talking about it these last few days. She wanted to make a picture in response. It grew out of our discussion about Ukrainian refugees. Karen said she hopes some can come to Nettlesworth as it is a Rights Respecting school. In the picture, she has included some of her friends from Class 2 who want to help refugees.

Random Act of Kindness Day 2022

February 22, 2022 by admin

Random Acts of Kindness Day is a day to celebrate and encourage random acts of kindness. Each class was given the opportunity to pick a different class name from a hat; once they had chosen their class they got to work deciding on what random act of kindness they wanted delivering to their door at 2pm! The deliveries were AMAZING 🙂

  • The children of class 1 spoke and wanted to deliver Class 4 a make your own ice cream station “just like the Pizza Hut one”:

  • Class 2 wanted to deliver a balloon and a Movie to every child in Class 5:

  • Class 3 decided to randomly surprise Class 1 with popcorn, sweeties and a Movie:

  • Class 4 had the job of making Class 3 smile….. and their delivery of a chocolate fountain certainly did:

  • Class 5 went for a delivery to match the weather too… Class 2 had Ice creams knocking on their door:

Spring Term Disco

February 22, 2022 by admin

UNCRC Article 31 – The Right to relax and Play

This afternoon we had so much fun; singing, dancing and playing party games in the school hall for our Spring Time Disco. It was great to get together with our friends across the school as a treat for all of the hard work we have done so far this year. The smiles on the children’s faces were huge. Happy Half term – you all deserve it 🙂
