UNCRC Article 29 – goals of education

Well done to all our children who achieved 96% and above for their attendance since September. We are very proud of your efforts; Rights Respecting Gold ethos in abundance.

 

Huge well done to our singing superstar in Class 5; Amelia Lee! Before her Razzamataz Drama Club performance at Sambuca’s Restaraunt she let Class 1 & 2 have a sneaky preview and what a delight it was!

From her EYFS days singing on Class 1’s step to live performances she continues to make us extremely proud. Well done Amelia you smashed it!

 

This week we have been exploring different safeguarding themes during assembly time. On Monday we started with discussing ways in which we can safeguard ourselves and peers both inside of school, at home and when out in the community. We talked about the safeguarding leads in school and what to do if we have any worries or concerns.

For the rest of the week we looked at the following themes:

Safe & Unsafe Situations Safeguarding Assembly

‘Being safe in community situations’

Peer Pressure Safeguarding Assembly

On Friday we said our goodbye’s to Mrs Mordue, one of our lunchtime supervisors – we wish her all the best of luck and happiness in her retirement. Enjoy your holiday, we will see you soon 🙂

What a beautiful morning we have all experienced in welcoming our parents and careers to share our Easter Egg competition results. Every child designed and created their entry to be judged by 2 judges from each class; the children were able to explain to the whole assembly why they liked each winning design. Every child in the school received an egg – curtesy of our wonderful parent group.

A Rights Respecting Gold ethos demonstrated by all – well done to everyone.

UNCRC Article 14 – freedom of thought, belief and religion

Another wonderful assembly today with Friends of Rev. Caroline where we retold the story of Easter. Well done everyone.

UNCRC Article 38 (war and armed conflicts)

What a lovely way to demonstrate our Rights Respecting Gold ethos when 3 of our children created a lovely flag of the Ukraine using post-it notes to write individual messages on in their own time.

Well done to Kayden, Connie and Corey for your very thoughtful effort.

Our artist of the month is John Constable and we found out all about him in assembly. In art club we created our own John Constable landscapes.
